Lovely Complex is a romance – comedy anime and one of the best romance comedies there is. It has a fresh and original comedy aspect that cannot be found in other series. It does not contain unnecessary drama and sexual pressures. The anime focuses on the meaning of true love, persistence, patience and loyalty, and […]

The plot of this anime is more on the teenage high school genre where an ordinary teenage girl named Kirari Tsukishima wanted to become a popular teen idol. It all started when she had this huge crush on a teenage male idol named Seiji. Due to accidental ‘circumstances’, she was able to get closer […]

Clannad: A Review

Darren Pangan (April 10, 2008)   2 Comments

Clannad is an adaptation of Visual Arts, a game from Key. The anime has done quiet a good job of combining the game’s plot lines and making them into one really good show. The characters are balanced, each having personal matters to face. The main character in the show is Tomoya Okazaki. Other key characters include Youhei Sunohara, Fuko, Kyou Fujibayashi, Kotomi, and Tomoyo Sakagami.

Hikaru no Go: Board Games = Serious Business

As far as crazy ideas for a series go, Hikaru no Go is definitely up there. Based around a board game, there is absolutely no way that this series can be any good, is there? Oh, you bet there is. Hikaru no Go is a prime example of how good writing can make even the most laughably absurd concepts become incredible works of art.

Monster Anime Series Review

The story of this anime and manga was written by Naoki Urasawa. The anime was originally aired from April 27, 2004 to September 28, 2005. I got myself a copy of the whole TV series simply out of curiosity. I hear the title get mentioned a lot whenever someone’s asking for some recommendations for an anime series that has great story in anime forums.

Most Wanted Anime Series

I’ve seen a lot anime series on TV back when I was a teen-ager that I would die to see again. That is why I keep my downloads, videos, and DVDs somewhere safe. Most of them are titles that I know I would miss watching in the future. But then, there are some series I remember watching but I couldn’t find anymore. I’ve scoured anime stores in malls, bootleggers, fansub and torrent sites and no luck.

Ninja Ryukenden Anime Movie Review

I watched this movie a couple of years ago but I watched it again just for the sake of writing this article. I bought this video from a friend but I didn’t have any idea what it was all about. Honestly, I just liked the title because it has the word ninja and I expect anime with ninjas to have good action and fighting scenes. Well, it turned out that this movie was far from what I was expecting but I still enjoyed watching it.

Trinity Blood Chapter I Review

Meet Abel Nightroad, this everyday Vatican priest is anything but ordinary. He is poor, kind of a cutie and a Krusnik, a vampire that lives off on the blood of other vampires. How does that saying go, “looks can be deceiving”? Who would have thought that this priest works for a secret holy organization called the AX?
