Koda Kumi + DBSK = Pure Win

According to Avex, that is. Koda Kumi’s new single, Last Angel, features the popular Korean boy band Dong Bang Shin Ki (Tohoshinki is their Japanese stage name) in an interesting hip-pop collaboration. I got the PV a couple of days ago so I decided to post a little info about it.
The song itself is very good. It’s been awhile since I’ve heard Koda Kumi release a hip-pop song and this is definitely a good one. The beat is catchy and I like the background orchestra use. Both Koda Kumi and DBSK are at their top even if DBSK doesn’t have that big of a role besides the rapping. Well at least they attract fangirls XD.
The PV unfortunately needs a bit of work. Specifically in editing. A lot of the dancing was cut away so it looked more as if Koda Kumi and DBSK were just moving their arms rather than real dancing. Oh well, at least the setting was nice. I liked the theme of the outer space and the dance stage wasn’t too shabby either. The only weird thing is that the snowy dance stage had palm trees. Also, DBSK and Koda Kumi looked good. But especially DBSK <3.
Well overall this is a strong single that comes with a decent PV. There’s going to be at least one other b-side that will come out with this single that I haven’t heard yet. Anyways, Last Angel is going to be the image song for Resident Evil: Extinction and will be coming out on November 7th (the same day as Aya Hirano’s new single).
