So I’ve only gone through two episodes and I realized I am probably going to stick with this throughout the whole thing. I don’t know exactly what draws me into this series. Maybe its the high quality animation or maybe its the bloody action but either ways I’m hooked.

So basically this is like another mission-of-the-week anime. It follows a laid-back guy named Dante who’s mission is to hunt ugly monsters apparently. Like the one on the right here. There doesn’t seem to be much more of a plot besides that. Or at least they haven’t introduced much of a plot yet. Then again, this is based off a videogame so I’m not expecting much.

Not much is given about the characters actually. All we know about the main dude, Dante, is that he has mad gun skills, has a huge debt, and he eats a lot of a pizza and strawberry sundaes. Hey I like pizza and strawberry sundaes too. Dante’s antics also are pretty funny. The only two other characters that seem to be important to the plot is this loli named Patty Royale that keeps on sticking around and another girl whose name I forgot.

Everything seems pretty high quality so far. While the music isn’t that memorable the animation is extremely clean and well done. There’s also a whole lot off blood splattering everywhere so if you’re weak hearted you may want to pass on this one. Also the monsters are really, really, really ugly and actually a little scary. Or maybe I’m just wimpy.

If you like action and violence this series is for you. If you love blood splattered everywhere this series is custom-made for you. While it’s not very deep (yet), its a fun series to watch after you’re dead tired or something. Oh and if you’re a big fan of the game (I’ve never even heard of the game so don’t ask me for comparisons).
