Let’s See How the Spring’s Ranking Before Summer Starts
Amanda Liu June 28, 2007
So while everyone’s listing off their summer season previews, I’ve decided to do another round up thing ranking the surviving series from 1 to 5. Maybe I should make this a permanent weekly/bi-weekly/monthly post? I always fall behind on blogging episode by episode and I like doing this better.
1. Seirei no Moribito
Number of Episodes Watched: 11
Apparently, Seirei no Moribito has hit the filler arc and is offering us slice-of-life episodes. While I have to admit that I’m not exactly going to rewatch the swordsmith episode over and over, the fillers are actually very entertaining. While I am enjoying Seirei no Moribito, I’m looking forward for it to go back to the novel plotline and action. Then again, I think they’re stretching one novel out to 26 episodes so this may be why.
2. Claymore
Number of Episodes Watched: 12
Meanwhile Claymore has been heating up quickly with Awakened Beings, Opheila the Nutcase, and etc. I know a lot of manga readers are biotching about this and that but I find the anime adaptation relatively faithful to the manga and more importantly just as enjoyable. Though am I the only one that likes Raki?
4. Darker than BLACK
Number of Episodes Watched: 11
Since Darker than BLACK is split into two episode arcs, the quality of the show varies immensely. Unfortunately, the detective/perfume/cat arc was weak, boring, and just plain random. I really hated that arc and for a time during/right after that arc I was putting this at the bottom. Luckily, the Misaki arc was enjoyable and provided great development to her character. Now it’s Hei’s turn to get the character development so I’m pretty sure this can rise up to #2 on my list and possibly to #1.
3. Romeo x Juliet
Number of Episodes Watched: 11
Romeo x Juliet is also going to an upward trend as reality hits the characters and Tybalt is introduced. They’ve added more action and dorama between Romeo and Juliet which just raises their lame relationship. Though I have to admit that I laughed when they married themselves. Seriously. Oh and I love Tybalt.
5. Kaze no Stigma
Number of Episodes Watched:11
This series is trying my patience beyond reason. While I have to admit I found episode 9 funny, the current arc is beyond stale. I thought it would have finally have ended but no all I get is the picture above. I probably will drop this soon unless it significantly improves or if the summer just sucks.
Well overall it looks as if this season is still going strong. Bring on the summer season!

Skh>Oh damn I goofed. Darker than BLACK’s supposed to be #3 and Romeo x Juliet’s supposed to be #4. Sorry. Or maybe they should have been a tie…
t0a5t>Actually, the ranking doesn’t help me at all. It just lets me know what I’m watching and how much I like it.
Ivan>I recommend all on the ranking except Kaze no Stigma. Kaze no Stigma has gone down the crapper >.
