All right, here it is the first ever episode of the Anime2Manga podcast. I’m of course Shadro here to explain how things will be working. For each release, there will be a link for your downloading/listing pleasure. Then along with that, this post will contain stuff that you may want to see, and so we can show what we are also talking about. Then I will also put in songs that may have been inserted and all of that. Oh, oh I did make a mistake on my Haruhi review, the green subs are only for op and stuff other wise it is the ugly yellow…sorry about that.
We do want your input so for hate mail, suggestions and all of that, e-mail me at shadro at anime2manga dot com so with out anymore of this, your show notes. We will even go as far as reading it and discussing and all of that fun stuff. Also please feedback on length, quality, context, and all of that is always welcome.

June 2nd, 2007 at 2:37 pmUmmmm……how should I say this……it was kinda interesting but……not really lol…… The focus, if there ever was one, was all over the place. And….Senna was it? She did about 3% of the talking……Maybe she didn’t really know what to talk about? The pokemon talk was…..awkward, to say the least. I wasn’t really paying much attention after 20min passed, but I think I heard the whole reason why Final Fantasy was called that, which was kind of something new. The editing wasn’t bad….. I can’t really offer much since this is the first time I’ve ever listened to a podcast, maybe it was meant to be all over the place……. But good work for this site’s first podcast ever.

June 2nd, 2007 at 2:52 pmI would have to agree with you, Gary, on some points and that’s what I’m thinking about right now. I’m thinking about asking shadro and the other if they could do it in segments so they can focus on one topic for one segment, then another topic on another segment and so on.
But we have to understand that this like our first attempt on podcasting. Manabi and Senna never tried it before. But I’m sure we’ll work something out and make a better next episode.

Or Lucky Star even X3). Although you could use a little direction. Just bring up a pre decided topic every 10 minutes and let the converstation take off from there - but always be sure to bring in another one later. (does that make sense? I suck)
Otehrwise, my only complaint is the quality of the one guy’s sound on his webcam. It made it hard to understand him at times. But that’s out of your hands.
Oh, and now I’m considering wathcing Darker than Black (you weren’t the only guys i knew who mentioned it)

On the bright side, the topics you guys chose were pretty good. Its something that most of us can relate to. It was nice to hear your opinions on the Spring Season and etc (you can never get enough opinions).
I think the biggest problem here is the podcast length. One hour is just too long. Most of us here don’t have very long attention spans ;).
Another problem here that is kinda hard to say is that sometimes the topics are drawn out too long. And that makes it boring. It kinda reminds me of the SETI podcasts. But then again that goes with the length.
I know this is your guys’ first podcast so I’m considering that in my opinion. It’s not a bad start but it definitely has room for improvement. Good job you guys!
P.S: I wanna join if I ever get a mike >_

June 6th, 2007 at 9:40 amThat’s what I was trying to tell them in the forums. I think 30 minutes is reasonable but one hour is just too long to keep me interested. I thought it might be the same for other people and it seems kiseki has the same opinion.

June 6th, 2007 at 10:11 amOkay, finally commenting! I enjoyed the podcast a lot. I liked how everyone was going from topic to topic; it kept it interesting. The topics themselves were also neat (The Fonz as a Pokemon = Win!!). However, I do have have to agree with some of the commenters above about the length of the podcast. An hour is too long!
Overall, I can’t wait to hear the next one. Keep it up, you guys!
