La Cordo d’Oro #2 by Yuki Kure

Seisou Academy is no regular academy. Its very existence came from a young man who loved everything about music. One day, this young man encountered an injured fairy whom he befriended and took care of. Because of his generosity, the fairy named Lili granted the young man’s wish. Thus, Seisou Academy was built. The academy divides its student population into two groups: those who wear the gray uniforms are the “regular” students, and those who wear the cream-colored uniforms are students who have chosen their musical instrument as their course of study.

Every year, the academy holds an annual musical competition. Usually, only students from the music department are chosen. However, this year, someone from the “regular” class has been chosen as a participant! A student from the general department, a second year named Hino Kahoko, will also be participating!

The second volume of the manga picks up where it leaves off from the first volume. Kaho-chan has been given a challenge from Yunoki-sempai’s bodyguards: to perform a song for them! Yet, the rules have been changed due to Amou-san and Yunoki-sempai’s interference. Amou-san suggests that Kaho-chan performs in front of the school’s entrance, sort of like a planned impromptu concert. The Yunoki bodyguards agree to this and leave.
What will Kaho-chan do now? Will she humiliate herself or will she prove to everyone that she can play the violin?

I honestly thought I could review the entire manga (there’s only six volumes is what I heard), but I don’t think. For an anime, it’s fantastic! For a manga, the reader misses out on the actual performances. Music is meant to be heard.

I’m debating on whether or not if I should buy the game and do a comparison on the manga and anime with that. Suggestions?

In any case, onto reading La Corda d’Oro #3… I’m done watching the anime so I might start reviewing those instead. We’ll see.

The art looks quite pretty. Is the game a dating sim? *Sorry, I had to ask! ^^;* Please do review the game or the anime — I was curious about the anime (pretty boys always make me curious) but was already watching way too many other series when it aired *okay, I’m still watching way too many ^_^*

If you don’t want us to publish you article yet, all you have to do is don’t put a [PUBLISH] tag on it. :D Anyway, don’t you love the exposure? ;P

But when I get done with an article, I put PUBLISH on it… =P

  9. Alexandra Papillon http://

Yep. But like Darren said, if you don’t want your article published after you’re done, leave [EDIT] on and no one will be the wiser.

  10. Darren Pangan http://anime2manga.com/

LOL.. I think we should take this in the Staff Forum.. people are watching us. Anyway, sorry about that Melissa. I thought when you put PUBLISH on your article you want it published already. Maybe you should just leave the EDIT tag on so we know which article we can publish. ^_^

I finished the anime and it’s superb. A great shoujo anime with wonderful music. I totally fall in love with the classical musics that’d long time forgotten…
